All our wool gifts are completely homemade. Our sheep grow it, Isaac shears it and Alyse crafts it! Wool is an amazing material - natural, carbon-capturing and renewing on an annual basis, wool is the ultimate sustainable material. It is naturally fire-retardant, can absorb water without feeling wet, is strong enough to form unrippable felts but yet is soft enough to wear in a scarf. An absolute wonder material.

Our Inspiration

After Isaac learnt to shear in 2019, while visiting a variety of local flocks to shear their sheep, we caught the bug for wool. Each fleece is so different, and to feel that quality and uniqueness but at the same time to know it is basically commercially worthless inspired us to try and do something about that. So Alyse started learning to craft with wool, and now between us we shear and then process the wool so that what is currently an undervalued waste product can be turned into something beautiful. At present, all our sheep creations are modelled on our original matriarch Sophie (who also appears in our logo), so even our models are from our sheep.

 
All our wool is grown by us, shorn by us and crafted by us. By buying our produce, you are supporting us in caring for our flock and adding value to an incredible, carbon-capturing, sustainable - yet under-appreciated - material. From small projects like felted earrings to big 'vegetarian' rugs, we try and create something for everyone's budget.
